Can I use the SIM card of any company in the B-phone?
The B-phone is based on a GSM module, similar to mobile phones. Also, the B-phone supports all SIM cards intended for mobile phones.
What are requirements of a mobile phone to be used with the B-phone?
Your mobile phone should support Java software.
How does the B-phone device work?
The B-phone works on the mobile operator network. B-phone reacts to movement and/or sound in the room. It immediately communicates the event to one or more phone numbers, calls and sends SMS.
Is the B-phone a safe device? (for example, are the batteries protected, if the baby reaches for it?)
Almost a year of safety development was invested into the B-phone and it was tested in the „Latvian Electronic Device Testing Centre”. As a result of the testing, a „Declaration of Conformity” was issued on the safety of the device.
What is the difference between the baby monitoring device B-phone and traditional baby monitors?
The baby monitoring device B-phone has many benefits when compared to other popular baby monitors:
- Parents only need a mobile phone with them
- The working range is unlimited, as the device operates in the GSM mobile operator network
- You can regulate the sensitivity of the sound and movement sensors of the B-phone
- You can specify up to three phone numbers which the device can call
- You can easily call the baby monitoring device B-phone from your phone to hear what is happening around it. For instance, when you are at work but would like to be sure that your baby is happy at home with a nanny...
- B-phone can be easily attached to a strap or placed on a flat surface.
I have heard that some baby monitors may ignite, is your device safe?
B-phone has passed the tests of „Electronic Device Testing Centre of Latvia” and has obtained the Declaration of Conformity on the safety of the device.
Do you have a telephone support line, in case of any questions, for example, if I cannot link the B-phone to my phone?
You can ask any questions to the vendor of the B-phone. If you are not happy with the call center, please write and we will provide you with the necessary information.
Where can I download the software?
B-phone mobile phone software can be found on the CD that comes with the B-phone package together with the user manual. You can use your phone to go to www.b-phone.eu/mob and download the B-phone software from there.
How many phone numbers can the B-phone call?
B-phone device can call to up to three phone numbers (can be a land line phone as well).
Does the B-phone send a warning when the battery is dead?
The B-phone device always sends an SMS reminder to the recorded phone number about the need to charge the battery when it reaches a 20% charge. When the battery is only at a 5% charge, a repeated SMS is sent and then the B-phone switches off.
May the B-phone device you purchase differ from the picture on your website?
The B-phone device purchased from our trading partners will not differ from the B-phone photos that are on our website.
Is the B-phone available in other colours?
At the moment the B-phone is available in white. In the future you will be able to purchase the B-phone in different colours (pink, red, blue, purple)
Has the impact of the B-phone on the baby been tested (what about mobile phone waves etc.)? What is the recommended distance to place the unit from the baby?
The B-phone device has been tested in the „Electronic Device Testing Centre of Latvia” and has obtained the Declaration of Conformity on the safety of the device. It is advisable to place the device at a 3 meter distance from the baby.
What will happen to the settings if the battery is empty?
The settings of the B-phone will remain intact if the battery is empty.
Can miscellaneous SMS on the B-phone's SIM card cause any unwanted behaviour?
No, the B-phone recognizes only content with the keyword B-PHONE. However, we advice to remove unnecessary SMS from inbox.
